Planning for the Future

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been two years since the Village of Estero was born. On March 17th, 2015 the Village of Estero became Southwest Florida’s ninth municipality.

Estero is still one of the fastest growing areas in southwest Florida. Propelled by Florida Gulf Coast University, Fortune 500 companies like Hertz, and the fun of Fort Myers alongside the relaxation of Naples, Estero is in perfect position to grow.

One of the area’s most defining factors is it’s youth compared to it’s city neighbors Naples, Fort Myers, and Bonita Springs. 65% of all Estero housing units are less than 13 years old and about 80% of all Estero commercial properties are under 10 years of age, according to the feasibility study. The youth of Estero is attracting young couples who are just starting their family, and growing families that are looking for a new place to call home.

It’s no wonder that people are flocking to Estero to take their own slice of paradise.

Today, the Village of Estero is putting their best foot forward, gathering their plans, and paving the way towards their vision that blends history with the future. According to the Village;

“Our current adopted vision for Estero is to establish a community that embraces its historic heritage and protects the environment while carefully planning for future development, offering a high quality of life, expanding economic opportunities, and proximity to Florida Gulf Coast University and the Southwest Florida International Airport.”

Estero’s growth will have several cornerstones to ensure success, including; neighborhoods, diverse economic generators, interconnected mixed-use centers, varied parks, public spaces, recreational facilities, and unique natural environments.

Like the city itself, the blend of old and new will bring residents together to foster a strong community that values history without ignoring the future.

Estero will have high development standards and design guidelines to promote:

  1. Desirable neighborhoods and public amenities
  2. Vibrant economic centers
  3. Attractive landscaping, streetscaping, lighting, signage, and architectural features
  4. An interconnected transportation network

A Village with a Vision

The Village of Estero will only be as good as its residents. That’s why we are giving residents, members, and guests a first impression that will last a lifetime.

In southwest Florida, Estero Country Club is “home” in every sense of the word. It’s not just about the house, it’s about the community. We are giving members and guests the tools, events, and friendly competition needed to build strong friendships, golfing buddies, and close-knit group of members.

In fact, we already have tournaments planned! Don your spookiest gear and scare away the competition during our Halloween Havoc, October 30th. If you’re looking for all the game without the costume, then join us for our 3 Club Challenge, November 10th. Last, but certainly not least, December 9th is our Mixed Shoot-Out! The competition is plenty at Estero Country Club!

If you’re not swayed by sports and competition, then perhaps our social events can tempt you.

Friday, October 27, 2017 is our annual Halloween Party. Costumes are optional, but having fun is not! You can even help us give thanks at our Thanksgiving Buffet, Thursday November 23, 2017.

You can also celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with us at our Christmas Ball, Friday, December 8, 2017. If that’s not enough, spend the morning with Santa at our Holiday Breakfast Buffet on December 10, 2017 with, yes, the man in red himself, Santa Claus!

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” Spread some joy and join us for our Christmas Carolers, December 15, 2017, and don’t forget to ring in the New Year with us on December 31, 2017.

We are helping residents find their niche in southwest Florida! Between sporting events and social occasions, rest up, cause your calendar is going to be full!
